DFC welcomes 'Anglican Commons' resource site

News from the DFC

staff November 17, 2011

The newest site among DFC members is AnglicanCommons.org, a unique resource hub staffed by volunteers providing free content development tools, weekly features, helpful links, and a deployment of DFC's new continuous news stream.

"This site focuses on sharing resources," Digital Faith CEO Patrick Herold said Nov. 16. "Its services and content are free to all, and its outreach component specializes in assisting dioceses and congregations that currently have a limted web presence and want to move forward effectively."

Set to launch Nov. 23, Anglican Commons is published by Community Media Resources, an emerging development partner serving nonprofits that desire to build new communication infrastructure. Pilot projects for 2012, to be announced in December, will include three Anglican/Episcopal dioceses, three inner-city congregations, and one interfaith consortium.

These efforts are led by volunteer convener Bob Williams, DFC member in Los Angeles. Contact Bob at213.308.0222 for more information.
